Mats Hummels most demanding Player

Mats Hummels is one of the most sought out players in this winter transfer window as the German defender has expressed his desire to leave Borussia Dortmund due to their disastrous string of performances as the club is located at the bottom spots in the Bundesliga.

Not all the clubs in the world have the sufficient financial power to sign the German defender and certain teams have to look somewhere else for a player that can solve their respective problems and needs.

Lazio and Fiorentina have taken a big interest in signing Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Wesley Hoedt.

Both players are young defenders that are active performers in the German side Az Alkmaar and this means that the club is not interested in allowing the defensive duo to leave without being offered anything significant in return.

Wesley Hoedt has already refused to sign a contract extension with Az Alkmaar and when his contract expires at the end of the season, he will turn into a free agent.

Lazio is interested in signing Hoedt during the January transfer window but they will have to offer Az Alkmaar something good enough to keep them enticed in allowing the defender to leave before his contract reaches its end in a few months’ time.

There are a few rumors that have begun to spread around claiming that Wesley Hoedt has already agreed personal terms with Lazio as he is indeed interested in making a move to the Italian club but no official statements have been released by either the club or the player.

Lazio is in need of a defender after Santiago Gentiletti sustained a serious knee ligament injury that is going to be leaving him out of action for a significantly long period of time.

AZ Alkmaar vs Eindhoven

AZ Alkmaar is going to take on the Eredivisie table toppers PSV Eindhoven on the coming weekend.

That’s an away game for Alkmaar and will take place at Philips Stadion.

PSV’s record in the home games this season has been absolutely perfect. They have won 4 out of 4.

But, Alkmaar can take heart from the fact that they’ve defeated PSV twice in the previous 3 meetings.

Alkmaar is not in the top 5 in the Eredivisie table at the moment. With 18 points and minus 1 goal differential, they are at no.  6.

The no. of defeats that Alkmaar has suffered this season is 3, but, the notable point is that neither of those defeats has come in the last 1 month. It clearly suggests that the team’s recent form has been good.

Also, in away games in 2014-15, Alkmaar has not really performed poorly. They have travelled to the away stadiums 4 times and thrice, they have ended on the winning side.

Muamer Tankovic would again be Alkmaar’s trump card. The Swedish forward, who is only in his teenage years at the moment, has been absolutely brilliant of late. He has been the leading scorer as well as the leading assister for his team.

However, Alkmaar would not be trying to over-attack against PSV. Their first ambition would be not to let the hosts go away with all 3 points.

If they catch PSV on counter attack, then, the picture might be different. But, mostly, they would be looking to remain intact at the back.

Alkmaar has secured 7 points from the last 3 games. So, it’s not that they don’t have momentum with them. Yes, the opposition is much stronger than what they have faced in the last couple of weeks, but, they are fully capable of getting the result in their favour.
